GLASSBORO – The Philadelphia Union Soccer Mobile Tour will be on hand as Glassboro celebrates Summerfest on Rowan Boulevard, Thursday, July 12 from 4 to 10 p.m. (rain date July 19).
The Mobile Tour is a fun-filled unit consisting of the PPL Soccer Kick — where you can test your shot accuracy — and the Toyota inflatable field, where kids can play in teams against each other in timed rotations.
The Mobile Tour is stocked with free Union giveaways and promotional material.
Also at Summerfest, enjoy live music, food, beer, wine and fun for the whole family. Landmark Americana will host a beer garden and plenty of food selections, with Bomb Bomb BBQ Grill, Bogey’s and 24 Scoops & More offering their own menu favorites.
Auburn Road Winery returns to offer tastings and selections for sale by the bottle or the case. Bring beach chairs and blankets for free live musical entertainment all night featuring Glassboro blues band TK & The Howlers , singer songwriter Laura Cheadle, and Swedesboro rockers East Avenue Band, all hosted by Emcee Ava Gudonis.
Among the activities for kids will be a moon bounce and candy sand art, with proceeds benefiting Angels of God Clothing Closet.
Enjoy Polish Water Ice and local produce and specialty items from Haynicz Orcharview Farm, Tony Morelli Farm Market, Glassboro Honey Co., Lollipop Shoppe and The Original Delancey Peanut Co.
Downtown Glassboro merchants will offer menus, coupons and more at the Glassboro Marketplace information booth. Also meet local restauranteurs Corey and Jennifer Gardner-Meeks, gearing up to open the Green Zebra organic soup and sandwich shop in the Whitney Center on Rowan Boulevard.
