GLASSBORO – The Borough of Glassboro is sponsoring the “Open Shred Day Event” on Saturday, April 14 to help residents protect themselves against identity theft and take a step toward going green. Boxes and bags of paper to be shredded may be taken totheVictoria Street Parking Lot (next to the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on Rowan Boulevard) from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The event is made possible through Glassboro’s Clean Communities Grant. The Glassboro Marketplace will take place on Rowan Boulevard from 12:00-4:00 p.m., following the Shred Event. Ample free parking is available.
An experienced operator from DocuVault Delaware Valley will be on site to move bins of paper to a highly secure, mobile shredding unit where confidential materials will be destroyed before your eyes. A full 100% of the shredded paper is recycled. Please note that only paper will be accepted. No plastic bags or metal, including three-ring binders and binder clips, can be accepted. Paper clips and staples are okay. Customers can keeptheir boxes for future use.
“The shred Event is a great way for all of use to clean out and purge our records, while at the same time protecting ourselves by destroying documents that may contain personal information,” said Glassboro Councilman George Cossabone.
