Get a taste for Italian-American heritage (Glassboro style) as St. Anthony’s Society and the Borough of Glassboro present food and wine favorites, entertainment and family activities.
Among the authentic food offerings will be pork sandwiches, tripe, calamari, eggplant Parmesan, salami and cheese and more prepared by St. Anthony’s club members. Wine and beer and other favorite Italian selections will be offered by the Landmark Americana, Bomb Bomb BBQ Grill, Bogey’s, 24 Scoops and More, Little Beef’s and Italian Brother’s Pizza. Specialty food items and desserts will also be offered by Talutto’s and Gianino’s.
Enjoy Italian and popular musical entertainment by Synergy and Love Alive, singer Greg Armstrong, accordion player Bruce Phero and Rowan University student musical ensembles. Vendors and crafters, games of chance and family activities round out the schedule.
The Procession of Italian Societies will begin at about 2:30 p.m. and run the length of Rowan Boulevard.
St. Anthony’s also invites teams to enter the Bocce Tournament. Qualifying rounds will take place throughout the festival, with final matches taking place on Rowan Boulevard in the evening.
