1st Week of Competitions
1st Place Winners: East Ave Band
East Ave Band took first place in last Saturday’s competition with more than 800 votes cast by raffle tickets. The band earned bragging rights and a cash prize of $300. Band members include Carlos Melendez II (lead vocals), Nobel Heard (backing vocals), Randall Harrison Brown (piano/saxophone), Mike Kavchock (lead guitar), JJ Gober (rhythm, guitar), Zack Bowen (percussion, keyboards) and John Heineman (band support).
Glassboro’s own Colors Bleed took second place, winning gift cards from downtown Glassboro’s Bomb Bomb Grill. Terrible Friends of Mullica Hill and artist James Mathias of Pittsgrove also competed. Votes will be cast by raffle tickets again on April 28, with the top vote-getters taking a monetary prize.
2nd Week of Competitions
1st Place Winners: Kids These Days
Congratulations to this week’s winners Kids These Days! They took home $200.00 in cash prizes and bragging rights, as they just released a new EP title Manifest Destiny.
Second place winners were The Kool Breeze Band, with a James Brown influence who rocked the crowd. Prizes included iTunes gift cards.
